What kinds of samples can these instruments measure?
Both instruments support port up, port down, and port forward measurement positions, and can be fitted with optional accessories to handle textured materials, odd shapes, liquids, powders, and gels. The Ci7600 adds the ability to measure transparent and translucent materials via its transmission door — with measurements possible whether the door is open or closed, and no fixed maximum sample width.
Will these devices integrate with my existing colour data and software?
Yes. The Ci7000 series is designed for compatibility. The Ci7500 and Ci7600 supports legacy data formats to protect your existing database investment, making adoption throughout the supply chain straightforward. Both models connect via USB or ethernet, and both support X-Rite's Colour iQC quality assurance software for a complete end-to-end colour management workflow.
How easy are these instruments to use day-to-day?
Both models are designed with the production floor in mind. An LED status panel provides at-a-glance instrument status, and the on-board digital camera lets operators preview and actively target the exact measurement spot before capturing. Calibration media and aperture plates are stored in a built-in drawer so everything stays with the device. When paired with X-Rite's Colour iQC software, the workflow becomes even more streamlined, immediate pass/fail feedback, image archiving for audit trails, and direct corrective guidance when samples are out of tolerance.

Measurement Flexibility for a Variety of Samples
The Ci7600 offers the same inter-instrument agreement and repeatability as the Ci7500, but an optional transmission kit allows for total and direct transmission measurement, multiple areas of view, laser targeting for small sample measurements, and an infinite width for measurement of larger samples. As with other models in the Ci7000 series, the Ci7600 captures color and appearance simultaneously with specular-included (SPIN/SCI) and specular excluded (SPEX/SCE) conditions. Embedded NetProfiler status lights verify the device is optimized for measurement performance.

The Ci7600 offers up to five reflectance and three transmission apertures to measure colour and appearance on a wide range of samples in port up, port down, and port forward positions. It can be fitted with various accessories to measure textured materials, odd shapes, liquids, powders, and gels, and uses up to 3 UV filters to control optical brighteners in textiles, plastics, paint, coatings, and paper.
